Elegant, full-bodied coffee with intense chocolate and caramel flavours and low acidity. The spicy and subtle aroma of this Indian coffee has notes of nutmeg, cloves, pepper and tropical fruits. The coffee plantation is named after the Bababudangiri mountain range on the west coast of India. The growing conditions in the mountains, the soil and the high humidity climate give the beans their excellent quality. The coffee variety has the AA high quality label, which means larger beans.
In India, wet-treated or washed Arabica coffees are called Plantation and dry-treated Cherries. The deep red colouring indicates the ripeness of the coffee berries, which are wet-treated and sun-dried after harvesting. Once dried, the skins are removed and the beans are sized and packaged.
