The Hario V60-02 ceramic coffee filter is a conical filter with evenly tapered grooves and an open bottom. The conical paper filters help to prolong the contact time between water and coffee. You can brew up to 2 cups at a time.
A large hole in the bottom of the cone allows the coffee to flow freely, which allows you to control the strength by changing the speed at which the water is poured (pour relatively quickly for softer coffee and slowly for stronger coffee).
Use the Hario V60-02 ceramic coffee filter for 320 ml of coffee:
1. Heat both the paper and the ceramic filter with hot water by pouring the water onto the empty filter. Pour out the water that has drained.
2. Add freshly ground coffee (20 g) to the paper filter (medium ground coffee is generally suitable).
4. Pre-soak the ground coffee in 50 ml of water – the entire surface should be wet. Wait about 10 seconds.
5. Start pouring the rest of the water into the centre of the filter and continue in a circular motion, moving outwards. The pouring should be slow.
6. After pouring the rest of the water, wait until there is no more water on the surface of the coffee, then enjoy your coffee.
